The first link is a brief video off the BBC News website
The Lake District is a stunning area in the north west of England, Its about 90 minutes from where I live and it where I feel alive! But for night photography it suffers from light pollution caused either settlement or farms, it is very much a working environment, there are so many great images to be taken and any reduction in light pollution would work for meFebruary 8, 2019 at 2:49 pm #4599Kirk KeyesAdmin
Colin – this is great news! I was looking at a light pollution map of the UK and it’s so hard to find a good spot of dark skies there. I live in the western US and it’s a short 2 hour drive for me to get into pretty dark skies! I’m sure your new dark sky reserve will be greatly appreciated there!
