I got a notification late last night of a private email thru this site. I opened it and realized immediately it was a phishing email. A quick search on Google turned up two other individuals over the last couple of months on other sites who had received the exact same message. Watch your step and don’t click on any links inserted into emails. It is even possible for you to receive an email from someone you know with a link included that has actually been sent by someone who has gained access to their email thru other means. If the email doesn’t smell right or is unexpected, contact your friend to verify it is from them. I’ll attach the body of the email I received so you can see what it says.

[I deleted the email as it’s showing up in google searches. We don’t need google pointing to us with spam emails posted. Thanks, Kirk. 4/02/19]March 25, 2019 at 8:48 am #8924Kirk KeyesAdmin
HI – thanks for the heads up. I caught that user a few hours after they signed up and marked them as a spammer. WE’re working on getting a system to better block future spammers.

Yeah, they probably hit everyone here. Maybe on sign up there is some low bar Milky Way photography question that has to be answered, like which aperture lets in more light? f2.8, iso800, f22, 20seconds, iso200, 10seconds or some bs like that.
