I am a West Texas-based landscape and nightscape photographer and photojournalist. I started my photographic journey in August 2014 and since have been published on a National Geographic site, twice as a contributor to the Pentaxians yearbook, in New Mexico Magazine in February 2019 as one of the winners of their annual photo contest, and in dozens of online and print pieces as a photographer at the El Paso Times in Texas. I also teach occasional post processing and shooting workshops and travel regularly for photojournalism, landscape, and night photography alike.
I will show how I add “star glow” to some of my images in Adobe Lightroom with an adjustment brush. I won’t be going through how I process an image from start to finish. Instead will use an example photo to quickly show how to add “star glow” to the brightest stars to give the picture a little more pop.
Released in 2018, the Pentax 50mm f/1.4 D FA* marked Pentax’s official jump into modern, fast full-frame primes. Made for all applications, including Milky Way Photography, the lens was quickly praised by the community and lens reviewers alike.
