Every week, I am going to bring to you nuggets of Milky Way photography information that I find from around the web. These nuggets can include YouTube channels or videos, gear and app reviews, or just perhaps a retelling of a misadventure. In this first edition of “Monday Motivation,” I want to draw your attention to the YouTube channel of Alyn Wallace. Alyn is a photographer based in South Wales, UK. He specializes in Astro, landscape and time-lapse photography.

I just recently came across Alyn’s work, I do not remember where though. I deep dived and found his YouTube channel. On it there was something interesting. Alyn has a series devoted to what is in the night sky each month. He releases a new edition every month. In the videos, Alyn goes over what is going to be happening in the night sky during the month.

Alyn also does videos on his photography adventures. One that caught my eye was this one:

The Brecon Beacons National Park is Alyn’s backyard. It appears to be absolutely gorgeous. It’s also recognized as the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve by the International Dark-Sky Association.

In addition to Alyn Wallace’s YouTube channel, be sure to check out his website and social media – Facebook and Instagram. Alyn was a guest on the Photog Adventures Podcast Episode 122. If you are a Photog Adventures Patreon supporter, Alyn was a guest on the Patreon only podcast.

In closing, we have a request to you, the readers out there. Is there a topic, piece of gear, or anything else related to Milky Way photography you would like to read about, hear on the podcast or see a video on? Drop your ideas below in the comment section.
